Week 35- "True Doctrine is NOT Debatable"

This week had been the best because we got to go to the temple! I think that could sum up this week pretty nicely.
We also got to have interviews with our President, got flu shots, we went and saw Hansel & Herry, our ward had an activity called Festival de las Nationes (so fun), volunteered at the Family History event and took a picture with some of our zone, went on exchanges with Sister Hancock (shes so sweet), then this mornin' we went to the temple, the house of the Lord. I've seen the Lord's hand in others lives and I can truly testify that this gospel is true. I love it.
And I love y'all.

Week 34- "De Banaste"

We went to the temple and met a girl at the temple that has been called to the Madrid Spain mission and Seville is in her boundaries! too cool!

On Wednesday this last week we took Herry & Hansel to the temple. They LOVED it and literally when they left Sergio, another investigator of ours pulled up. We walked around with Sergio and then we went inside into the lobby. He said he couldn't even describe the feeling that he had. He said he practically couldn't even breathe because it was such a strong feeling. But it was weird because i usually feel so good inside the temple but i had that same feeling when i walked in of pretty much losing my breath. I've never felt so sure that this is the true gospel. And that the temple IS the house of the Lord. We honestly were waiting for him to cry. We went into the waiting room and taught him a lesson about prophets, Nicodemus and being born again. We told him that the feeling he felt is the Spirit telling him this is real, that this is the House of the Lord and it was a place he should always strive to enter. He couldn't stop telling us how good he felt. He didn't want to leave. Super good day.

Thursday was my mama's birthday! We went to Price, it was super smokey on the way there because there is a wildfire in the Canyon. We had a good meeting though, we could really feel the Spirit as we talked about the new chapter focus in Preach My Gospel which is about the Book of Mormon. Elder Christensen and Burdett, they are so cool and fun together. After Zone Training Meeting we were outside in the parking lot and watched Elder Christensen rope with Elder Shepston, Giwagiw, and Root. It was fun! We headed back to Payson and then planned with the Payson Zone Leaders.

Friday we had the Payson Zone Training Meeting and then a lot of finding.
We had a super good Sunday we watched a regional broadcast but I didn't realize that the region was pretty much Orem all the way down to the bottom of the state so pretty much all of the state was watching the broadcast. Mason’s old mission president's wife, Hermana Franco (now the 2nd counselor of the general primary presidency) spoke. Gary E. Stevenson spoke and so did Elder Cook of the 70, and Juan A. Uceda President of the 70. It was super good! I wonder if they'll put the broadcast up on lds.org.. it's worth it to watch!!!
Love y'all!!!

Next week our pday will be on Tuesday because we get to go to the temple:))) I'm so excited!

Week 32- "Como Questa"

Sooo Herry & Hansel got baptized this last weekend and I was so honored to be able to be a part of it. Coming straight from Guatemala and not even knowing who Christ was. It's been a awesome 2 months to see them grow and learn about our Savior and all we can do to be like Him. I asked Herry how he felt afterwards and all he could say was 'joy'. What a humbling moment to see a 10 year old make a promise with the Lord. The next morning during personal study I was reading in Mosiah Chapter 18 and I read these scriptures...

7 And it came to pass after many days there were a goodly number gathered together at the place of Mormon, to hear the words of Alma. Yea, all were gathered together that believed on his word, to hear him. And he did teach them, and did preach unto them repentance, and redemption, and faith on the Lord.
8 And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light;
9 Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life—
10 Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being baptized in the name of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you?
11 And now when the people had heard these words, they clapped their hands for joy, and exclaimed: This is the desire of our hearts.

Why would we ever want to wait for the blessings? The Lord loves us so much and as we show that we want to be like Him he's going to give His all.
I love y'all so so much!
