Week 43- "Testify Your Heart Out!"

I definitely miss Payson a ton and how amazing the ward and people are there! Ahhh and of course Hermana Ulin. I hope she doesn't forget me...
We have been walking and having a lot of lessons and I lovee Provo! Theres so many different people with different point of view in life. Its so fascinating to hear their stories and gain respect for where they come from. I love Provo!
I think that just comes with the mission that you just learn to love the people that you are around. Every time I love I just know that President Hodgman is a revelatory man and that he sends us all where the Lord wants us. Everything is for the Lord and so as I've gone into this with a positive mind, I've found the positivity in everything. With that i also made a goal for this week to have positivity with the cold. Thank goodness for jackets, for warm socks and for loving members that want to help us. With the small time I've had here I've learned just the humility people have and the love they have for what they have.
Also church was fun! In the women's class (relief society) there is a row in the back...they are so funny to listen to and have comments to everything! Just a bunch of Hispanic women having fun.
Well I can also officially say I've hiked the 'Y'! It was fun and not too bad.

We were able to watch a face to face at a chapel, broadcasted from Logan, UT. It was awesome to hear what apostles have to say about us as young single adults. Even if you aren't a young single adult this question and answer devotional was awesomeeeee!

Here are some of the notes we took (sister kump & I)
We all need to bear one another burdens, no matter who they are or what they are going through. The Salvador suffered for our infirmities, use it to help you! Great anxiety. Need balance on our lives, spiritually and temporally. Each generation has its own unique temptations. One for our day is pornography. Always be open, honest, and ask for help when struggling. THERE IS HOPE!
ATONEMENT! Everyone will have doubts once in a while. Have hope, have FAITH. Doubt not fear doubt. Do ask questions! Apostles asked to trust them. No one has the answers to all the questions. Be ok with not knowing.
New miembros of the church said they need holy habits and righteous routines. Get out of your cocoon! Look each other in the eye! Verbal relations. I want to work with elder Balllard. Live the same habits that you made on your mission. Don't wait for someone to assign you a companion. Kindness love and patience are the best ways to touch the heart. Righteous examples are powerful. Sacrament is the most important meeting of the Sabbath day. Don't study on Sunday. The Lord will bless you. Change something in your life if you can't seem to stop a sin. Go to the Temple. Make a commitment deep in your heart.
Repentance is possible. Forgivness is certain and complete.
Find time now to be still. We love one another even as the Savior loves us. We are the future of the church.  Peace of the Lord be with us. He will be with us to strengthen us. The power of the Priesthood.

Con Amor,
Hermana de Benito

Week 42- "Both the Three of You Need to Write in My Journal!"

It has been busy this last week!!!

We had Mission Leadership Council, 2 Zone Training Meetings, and we got calls on transfers!!
Once again in following Sister Shirley and I'm going to be follow up training her trainee, Sister Kump in the Bonneville area which is south east Provo!! Its actually a walking area so I'll be experiencing my first real winter completely by being out in the snow every day:)) Pray that we will be able to get up (and also run to the gym) every morning hahah! Im actually really excited to be in a walking area and this is practically my first time ever being out of leadership! "Its taken 9 months for it to finally happen" as President told me yesterday, he even apologized in a way saying sorry that it took this long but I loved every moment of being in leadership. It truly was a blessing and a great humbling experience!

This week has been wonderful! I'm so grateful to have been sister Ulin's companion and I'm grateful she put up with me for so long!
I love Payson and it'll always have a place in my heart.

Con Amor,
Hermana de Benito

Week 40- "Yeah! I got a Nissan Accord that's all I know!" (HAPPY HALLOWEEN🎃🕸)

Hola hola!

Well this week has been eventful!
We went to Huntington, which is past Price to go see our sisters down there. We also had 3 different exchanges, President interviews, did some yard work, we gutted 2 pigs, went to Provo to drop off our Malibu/got a different car for the weekend, & today is HALLOWEEN🎃
By the way i love Huntington! It's so beautiful down there but it is just such a small town! Haha
We gutted 2 pigs in Goshen and it was actually really intresting to find out that pig hearts are now being used in humans as replacements! SUPER COOL! A little weird but it's amazing how the medical discoverys are helping us in ways we never thought!
Well today for Halloween we will be in a church and be watching the new Beauty & the Beast as a district. I'm so excited:)
We have been working hard here in Payson but sometimes a trial of faith happenes and we havent been able to find anyone that has been intrested in listening to us for the last 4 weeks or so. As we'd pray for guidence, we would go to homes but no luck.. One awesome experience that happened Sunday night on exchanges (with Sister Fisi'iahi & Sister Smith) as we were contacting. We went door to door talking and sharing messages as we went. We met back together at home later that night and found out that in total we had 4 return appointments for later this week! YAY!!
Sometimes we expect to find success/results/answers soon after our prayers. But sometimes we need to see the true blessing of what we have and so the Lord will try our faith and then give us what we need. I love seeing the blessings and as we continue to pray, He will continue to pour blessings to help us in our lives.

I love this gospel and I know that the first step to having a happier life is faith. Trust in Him.

Moroni 7:33
And Christ hath said: If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me.

Ether 12:27
And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them
