Well it's another week! And the first 6 weeks in the field! I have been out for 12 weeks and it had flown by when I look back! This is crazy, no one prepared me for how amazing, hard, fulfilling, spiritual, and fun the mission would be! These past two 6 weeks have been awesome. So transfers were given out and I'm going to be staying in Spanish Fork!!! Im sooooo so happy! This is exactly what I wanted and Hermana Brooks will be my 'follow-up trainer'. She's honestly the best!
Monday- The rest of Monday was not too interesting other than the fact that we got to talk to one of our favorite storytellers. Drifter has such an awesome life and he's always grateful when we come over and talk to him because he lives alone. He's know in town for being the guy that has a motorcycle and trailer that holds his gorilla and shotgun! Haha he's awesome! I'm going to be wanting his autobiography when he finished.
Tuesday- I had such a cool experience with following a prompting. Hermana Brooks asked me who I felt that we should go and see and I told her that I wanted to see Sheyla (an investigator who has a hard time coming to church and we have a hard time catching her at home). As we pulled up, Sheyla's dad and brother were outside putting something's into their truck! We were able to get them to come inside and we taught all 3 of them! It was amazing because it has been so hard to get them all at home and for them all want to listen. They promised they would come to church! YAY! This is a huge step. As we talked we learned the father had not been to church because someone had made fun of him and his wife. I don't know why people need to make fun of others but maybe if you're at church at least try to be a little more christlike.
Wednesday- I went on exchanges with the awesome Sister Ribson-Josephson! She was a blast and has a ton of energy! I went to Provo for the day and I just love meeting new people. You get a lot more variety when you're in an English area! We met some awesome people during service, our dinner and then after dinner we were driving back to the apartment and I saw a guy and a girl doing hula hoop tricks. I asked Sister RJ to stop so we could go talk to them. As we talked I learned a lot about different beliefs like witchcraft, science, and satanism. It was definitely interesting and it definitely made my night!
Thursday- Nothing too much happened, we went contacting and no one answered. But it was still a beautiful day! That is one thing is that this week the tempature has been perfect!
Friday- We learned about not rationalizing. To listen to the Lord and don't rationalize what you've been prompted to do, just do it! :)
Saturday- We got to have the first burgers of the season! It was sooo good! Haha and we got to play with a Brittany Spaniel and his name was Griffith! We played with him so much that he didn't want to play with us! The lesson we had after wasn't home which was dissapointing so we went contacting.
Sunday- It was so beautiful and it was Easter Sunday! I hope everyone was filled with the Spirit like I was thinking of our Savior who has given us everything. I loved hearing all the messages in church about becoming closer to Christ and trying to be more like him. He lived, He died, and lived again. It's amazing. We were able to teach an investigator who will be getting baptized in May! He is awesome and only 9 years old! He's the star goalie on his team so after we were done with the lesson we let him show his skills;)
Monday- Well it's Monday! And another pday but also transfers as you already know:) I'm so grateful to be here in Spanish Fork! And today we are going to go on some adventures so we'll see when I get WiFi again! I can't wait to share some of the pictures we got next week:)
I hope everyone has a amazing week:) I pray for y'all and am so grateful for you're support!Con amor,Hermana de Benito
