Monday- P-day was a lot of fun. Hermana Brooks and I went up the mountain and had a fun time taking pictures/photo shoot of each other. We've also had our eye on an abandoned building and finally went and checked it out. It had been bought out by a sawmill company but we just drove in and went to an open door of the building and no one said anything! You could tell that there had been a fire in that building and so the company was only using about 1/3 of the building. The pictures don't do it justice but it was awesome.
We had to leave and go to the actual service project of taking graduation photos for a member in our ward! We had a lot of fun and the pictures turned out really well! Later that afternoon we gave the camera back that we had borrowed from brother Armstrong and ended up talking about doctrine and some of the symbolism in our church! He has so much knowledge over this subject and it's just amazing to hear just some of the things that he knows!
Monday was a really cool day!
Tuesday- In the morning while we were at the gym I had to say goodbye to my district leader Elder Baker since he was being transferred the next day to a different area! He has such an awesome personality and drive. He's an awesome missionary.
We had to go to Provo to switch out our cars hoping that we would get something better than a Carolla (which our car was) and ended up getting another Carolla! haha
We went to lunch with the Nielson's (which is the best senior couple!) and said another goodbye to one of our zone leaders, Elder Jones, who was being transferred as well.
Wednesday- We were busy contacting and met a really nice lady but is a strong Catholic.
Thursday- We had a meeting with our district and we got to meet our new district leader! He's from Arizona and has an awesome story. He talked about the atonement and how it is meant for everyone. For dinner we went to a members house, she is so loving. We showed her the Easter video from the church and she began to cry as she told us her testimony of how true this gospel is. She was converted later in life and it wasn't easy since her family was against it, but she is so strong.
Friday- We put some investigators on date for baptism and they are so excited! We can't believe how far they have come since 6 months ago he wouldn't even have wanted to talk to us. We also talked to an investigator who is 11 years old and she told us she was scared with all the violence that was going on but we found a scripture in 1 Nephi 22 that talks about how the righteous will be ok. She felt peace and so did I.
Saturday- We got to do service! In skirts haha it's a sister missionary life! I also met the next door neighbor who was just getting home from a bike ride. I began to talk to him to find out he has done 5 ironman races and is training for another! He had just done 90 miles that day! Crazy and he's in his 60s!
He's an inspiration!
Sunday- We had some amazing talks and I felt the spirit so strongly, we only had a couple investigators come to church which was sad but we were happy to see the ones that did:) we were busy busy busy all day in meetings but I can see the work progressing in this area! I love it!
Monday- Today it's pretty gloomy today and this week is supposed to rain but we will make the best of it! Lots of shopping to do!
Con amor,
