Week 8- Get Out of the Car, We're Going to go Talk to Her Now

Another week and a lot of fun memories to go with it:)

We were able to go hiking with our zone this morning to the cross and watched the sunrise.
We also had some fun going to zone conference this week and learned more about being the 4th missionary and being more of a a preach my gospel missionary. Later that night we went contacting (finding past investigators) and as we were at one house, the garage door begins to open a lady walks out. Right as im crossing my arms and closing my eyes for the prayer Hermana Brooks says "get out of the car, were going to go talk to her now." I kinda stumbled out and followed her lead.

We soon learned that the her name was Erica and was actually very interested in going to church. The last record we have of her is that she didn't want to hear about the church and was happy with her religion. Its amazing to see that if you are patient that soon in the Lords time he will soften their hearts and they will listen. I love seeing this kind of change in people. One other story.. this last Saturday we were leaving our dinner appointment with plenty of people on our schedule to find until it was time to go back to the apartment. Hermana Brooks started to drive to a certain investigators home but as we were talking we both felt that we didn't need to go there. She soon felt the prompting to drive down the road to a cul-de-sac where there was one home of family they used to teach before I had arrived on the mission. It seemed to us that there was a party of some sort going on by the amount of cars in the road. Hna Brooks seemed tentative about the situation but i felt the strong need to go in. We got out of the car and the wives that were sitting in the front ran inside before we could talk to them (we seem to get that a lot haha) but the garage was open and there was a door leading to the backyard where a few people were. Hna Brooks looked at me and told me to follow what the spirit was telling me so I walked right into the backyard. A man just stared at us and I tried to introduce myself but he wasn't having it. Another man walked up and started talking to us (YAY!!), we got talking and found out that one of his good friends was part of the church and he has been asking a lot of questions, by the end we were able to give him a Book of Mormon and he was excited to read it because no one had offered him one before. What a good feeling we got for just being confident and following a prompting. Sure we get weird looks and being in Utah everyone knows who you are so they aren't always the nicest but I for sure know that I love this gospel and it is all worth it for these kind of experiences.
Dont worry there are plenty of pictures to go with this week;)

P.S. the Payson temple is sooooooo beautiful. We were able to go to the temple this last week and this is my favorite so far, iIlove it!
oh and I cut myself accidentally.. Typical me, I knew it was going to happen it was just a matter of when:)
