Friday- we went to the temple again after I wrote my email. Here in Mexico I guess they like to do acrobatic tricks at the stop lights so we got that entertainment and the fact that everyone is insane when they drive here so we almost got in a wreck about 30 times haha
On the way back our bus driver just stops on the road so he can go to the back of the bus, grab the trash bag, and bring it to the front, we are all still questioning why he needed to do that but I guess it was important for him to have the trash bag next to him. We made it back safely and had an awesome devotional that night by one of the seventy, Robert C. Gay, that was visiting Mexico. He gave some great points on how to be a great missionary and then told a story of one of his friends in Ghana named Billy Johansen he had become converted and then went out and told people of this church. The church had still not been built there but because of his faith and testimony he was able to convert 1000 people to a church that didn't exist yet. How amazing is that?!
Saturday- we started something called TRC, it's where you teach real investigators or inactives and what an experience. Hermana Harris and I first investigator was over video chat! That was definitely something I didn't expect.
We started a game with our class called the Latino game and one person is the "Latino" but we all have to speak spanish so our teacher can't guess who it is. That night we sang to the district that was leaving and it's weird to think that they were on their 3 week when we got here. Time goes so quickly!
Sunday- Sundays are always the best! We have 3 devotionals and all were great. This last Sunday was focused on the Plan of Salvation/ The Plan of Happiness, but we were also taught about how to have more charity, love and virtue (christlike attributes). You can always feel the Spirit so strongly on Sundays and I love how in depth some of the devotionals can be!
Monday- we taught one of our investigators and he has a baptism date! We learned that Hermana Bradshaw is allergic to a certain kind of medicine as she started to get hives and was having a hard time breathing at 11 at night. She's fine and she came back about 20 mins later feeling better and had a bunch of benadryl! I also have never had a good relationship with my bunk bed (I'm on the bottom..) because at least once a day I hit my head on the beams or like that night I was getting out of my bed and scraped my back on the beam... now I have 2 scabs on my back and counting! Haha
Tuesday- Happy Valentines Day! O feliz día de Valentín!
There was chocolate, cycling workout for Hermana Harris and I during gym time, we went to the nurse for Hermana Harris because she bit her lip really bad so she needed some ice, our investigator was sick so our teacher said he was going to be the investigator for the day except a new investigator. We all weren't ready and for some reason I was having some hard time piecing things together on the spot and my companion completely froze at the beginning of the lesson so I found myself rambling for about 10 mins. My companion started to tear up and let's just say it was the worst and most humbling lesson we've taught. Our teacher said that even though it didn't work out he felt the Spirit the most from our lesson and we just have to believe in ourselves.
Ether 12:27 -"And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."
Wednesday- nothing much happened except the usual except during study time we usually go to our class and instead went to a building and learned some cool things while talking with my zone. For example, when Adam and Eve were in the garden and we're told if they partook of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that they would surely die. Well we've all been told that Adam lived to be 900 years old..but because the world was so close to kolob then, 1 day to God is 1000 years for us. So technically Adam did die in the same day that he partook of the fruit! How cool is that?!
Thursday- Yesterday was a good day. During gym my knuckle started to bleed because they've become so dry and I'm always putting lotion on but I guess not enough! I'm so used to Texas weather where the air moisturizes your skin for you. Hermana Harris now has a bruises on her knee and she says she's becoming get more like me! I have so many bruises on ly legs from volleyball and just being clumsy and she's catching up with her one bruise! It's pretty exciting haha!
Today we aren't going to be going to the temple which is sad but it'll be nice to just relax and play all day. We are having a district volleyball game at 2:30 I'm excited to finally get to play with everyone.
Anyways I miss you guys a ton and you're always in my prayers.
