Well, this last Tuesday marked a month!!
We had some really good devotionals on Sunday talking about:How we are true millennials and how we were meant to come to earth at this time- we are elect children of God. "If you could see a glimpse of how God sees you, then your life would change forever." -Pres Nelson
Learn who you really are. Satan likes to define us, let's makes sure we define ourselves.
Devo 2:the priesthood- a divine authority restored.
D y C 43:15-16
15 "Again I say, hearken ye elders of my church, whom I have appointed: Ye are not sent forth to be taught, but to teach the children of men the things which I have put into your hands by the power of my Spirit;"
16 "And ye are to be taught from on high. Sanctify yourselves and ye shall be endowed with power, that ye may give even as I have spoken."
Devon 3: the Book of Mormon- It's approved by the highest authority in the universe, the Lord himself. We can recieve personal revelation when we: ask in faith, have a sincere heart, a true desire, good intentions, and have faith in Jesus Christ that He will answer. You have to be willing to act.
"You don't recieve because you're not asking correctly." We need to also remember it's in the Lords time not ours.
Monday was another normal day of classes.

Monday was another normal day of classes.
Tuesday has been the day we were all waiting for. For President Nelson to come. Sadly no pictures were allowed to be taken but I feel like they have a CCM Facebook page and they mightve posted pictures to it.
During class we learned about the Gift of Tounges and because it is a gift we have to work at it. You have to apply what you know, be diligent, and if you know its what you want then there is always a way to work at it.
D & C 88:33 "For what doth it profit a man if a gift is bestowed upon him, and he receive not the gift? Behold, he rejoices not in that which is given unto him, neither rejoices in him who is the giver of the gift."
At dinner President Nelson arrived what an amazing thing. A group of authorities took pictures at the entrance then we saw the authorities start to walk towards the cafeteria. We couldn't believe that they were coming this way. As President Nelson walked in we all stood up and the room became silent. You could just feel the Spirit so strongly.
After we ran to choir practice to prepare for the devotional. As President Nelson arrived we all stood as he walked down the aisle, he stopped and stood at the front, we were told we all had the amazing privilege to shake his hand and the other authorities hands.
What awesome testimonies and talks were given from these authorities and their wives.
After feeling the Spirit so strongly and hearing their words there is no way I could deny Christ or His church. The fact that boys take 2 years to serve the Lord, to see them so anxious and excited to meet a member of the quorum of the 12 is a testiment in its self. But to hear a story of a young boy at 14 had a question and it was answered, translated plates and turned into what we have today. A book that has been pulled apart, analyzed and still to this day they cannot find anything wrong. I love this gospel.
On Wednesday I heard a quote from Elder Youngblood that was, "Jesus Christ doesn't have something to do with the this work, He has EVERYTHING to do with it." I love that.
It's not about us.. we're just the representatives of Christ, its His word that we are here teaching.
This week has just been another humbling week. This experience here has been awesome.
This Friday, p-day will be our last one because next week we will be getting ready to go so play will be on Wednesday. These weeks have been going by SO quickly! It's weird to be one of the older groups here, it feels like it was yesterday we were on week 2 and didn't know anything. Haha
John 6:38 "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me."
