Why are weekly so hard for me to do??
I honestly should have the hang of this by now but every week I find myself writing at the last minute because I love to procrastinate:) When the true Hermana de Benito comes out! hahah
Well this week has honestly been crazy and amazing all at the same time!! Since transfers have been this week I have been getting situated into a new home or as Hermana Shirley likes to call it the 'hobbit house'!! It is tiny, old, and we love it!
We have found so many miracles this last week or more like 4 days, and its amazing what the Lord has in store for all of His children! I absolutely love Payson and I've only been here for 5 days! We right now cover just one ward but work with 8 stakes so lets just say there are a lot of meetings we have:)
Hermana Shirley and I met a man my first day here after contacting another person's house. He was working on a car with a friend that was visiting from Santaquin. We got talking and found out that they have had missionaries stop by before and really liked our message and the service we do. We talked about our plan here on Earth a bit and answered all the questions they had. You could feel the Spirit testify to them. We ended up making a return date and they told us they wanted to learn more! We referred the one man to Santaquin and made an appointment to meet with Saul for Sunday. He ended up calling us twice the next day (Thursday) and asked us if we could come over and talk to him. We went over and supposedly he has been having a really hard time with his wife and children being gone on vacation while he has been at home. He said that he really liked what he had been told the day before and that he could feel the difference when we were around. He had had other missionaries come over but had never felt so at peace as he did with us. What a humbling experience and also how much harder I need to work to make sure I always have the Spirit with me to teach the people here in Payson.
I've also had a good amount of dejavu's in my life but never consistently.. they come from dreams of mine but I haven't dreamt, if but only a few times on the mission, but I have had 3 dejavu's in the last week of being in this transfer! One of these was of me sitting in the car with Sister Shirley talking about an investigator. It just confirmed to me that I know that this is where i am supposed to be, specifically in Payson at this time. It gave me a overwhelming feeling of gratitude of how in tune with the Spirit my mission president is and how inspired he is in where to place us. I'm grateful for that and he sends me where we need to go even if he knew I wanted to stay one more transfer in Spanish Fork. Lets just say I'm so happy that I'm here and be with Sister Shirley! But more importantly that this is God's work and He will send me where I truly need to go!
The members her are awesome and so kind. I just got here and if this is how its going to be for 6 weeks... I'm ready:))) There have definitely been disappointing moments, when investigators cancel or don't want to meet with us anymore but if we always just remember that everything is in the Lord's time and He has a perfect plan and we try our best as imperfect people to have faith in Him and follow His words, everything will work out!
Love y'all!!!
